Yes, it can! Simply remove the sleeve from the weight plate holder to fit 1-inch plates. Our holder supports both 1-inch and 2-inch standard plates for added flexibility.

Unfortunately, no. We recommend using an Olympic barbell that is at least 6.6 inches in diameter for optimal compatibility.

Spent about 4 days putting together my M2A, which actually was kind of fun. First of all I want to say how impressed I was with the quality of the machine. This was one of my primary concerns as one does not have a chance to actually look at the machine prior to purchase. The components are high quality, sturdily built, and well designed. No concerns there. Other than that, I would probably recommend purchasing the aluminum rollers as I found the plastic rollers to be a bit slow on the return, especially when using light weights. I am happy to give Evolpow a five-star rating.

I love this M2A machine and the new BEC bench. The combination provides me with so many more options than barbell and dumbells. I love the cables and the adjustable placement, it provides so much versatility.
It takes up a good amount of space, but we planned on it when finishing our basement. The instructions are not great, assembly is a bit of a challenge.
Customer service team is great, they provided updates on a split shipment because of the bench being a new release. Also, they send a replacement part quickly and provided shipping updates when I discovered I had a incorrect part.

For the price we are super happy with it! Its got a ton of features compared to competitors at a lower price. It’s a bit tight interior dimension wise and I wish the bench could slide further back but there isn’t enough space. Common complaint from most though is the instructions are poor. None of the actual parts aside from the bolts and nuts are labeled, so you waste a lot of time sorting through the parts trying to match up to the instructions. Other than that, once installed my wife and I have been super happy with it and it gets solid use daily.
Review for the M2A. So far my boys(16 and 10) and I are enjoy it, works well and easy to use. It's a good size and fits well in the space I have for it. Very happy with it. I will say that the instructions for assembling the machine were difficult to interpret in order to make sure I was properly installing everything right. They were not clear and I questioned where certain bolts went given there were several different sizes. I followed the numbers but in some spots there was not a number to show what went where. Took me 3 days to complete. I found this a bit frustrating especially because I read plans and assemble heavy equipment similar to this everyday at work. The cables were not labeled so trying to figure out which cable went where was a process as well. Shown in color on the instructions but all black when arrived. Putting a number/tag on cable would have made it easier rather then trial and error. There were alot of packages 12 all together which was fine, but would have like to see the pieces packed better, more cushion and not lose rubbing against one another causing scratching on the paint and damage to the pieces. Some of the plastic pieces I received were cracked and damaged so im not happy about that. Over all I like it and will continue to use it and enjoy it in the comfort of my home.

This gym is excellent! While it is probably simpler with two people, I did it alone. It took me approximately 8 hours to assemble. As a 5'7, 135-pound female, I had to get creative to keep it balanced while putting it together. It was extremely funny!
As a beginner bodybuilder, I like all of the features this gym provides to help me with my preparation and programming. I just had one minor issue, and customer care was quite helpful. I also acquired an additional plate tree to move the unit closer to the wall and give me more room to access my bumper plates. This allows me to use the back hooks for other equipment such as bands, grips, and belts. Overall, I'm quite impressed.
This product is an incredible value. My wife and I recently purchased this to replace a cheap squat rack from another manufacturer, and it is noticeably better built and designed. It is really sturdy. The parts are all powder coated and easy to assemble due to the product's packaging. No rattles or wobbling occur during any workout, regardless of weight.

I didn't find the manual in the box when I first started going through everything, and I honestly thought I had somehow misplaced it. I checked all the packaging twice before realizing it simply hadn't been included. I reached out to customer service, and they helped me get the issue sorted out pretty quickly. It was a little frustrating at first because I was ready to set up my M2A Smith Machine that day, but the machine itself has been great and I'm really happy with how it's been working for my workouts.
